An amazing opportunity has arisen in our Warehouse department at Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA). For the position of x2 Warehouse Clerks, located in Wadeville/Bedfordview, we are seeking a talented person with the necessary training and experience. The chosen applicant will work closely with the Logistics department’s Stock Manager.

Important Tasks & Responsibilities

• Carry out the dispatching of all Primary and Secondary distribution shipments in accordance with their designated departure periods,

  • Ensure secondary distribution shipments are appropriately received in terms of providing the necessary documentation & hand-held terminals (HHT),
  • Carry out the proper system-receiving of Primary Distribution Shipments and proper submission of necessary documentation,
    · Organize the prompt settlement of all issues related to the receipting or dispatching of PD and SD vehicles.
  • Control hardware to ensure that HHTs and related devices are operational and tested in compliance with the asset care policy,
  • Carry out the receiving and dispatching of cars within the depot’s standard turnaround time,
  • Ensure that drivers submit paperwork in accordance with the established criteria and that all documents are controlled appropriately for reconciliation and filing needs.
  • Ensure deviations are reported accurately and in accordance with the established format to enable resolution,
  • Execute production receipts and issues in SAP promptly and accurately.
  • Accurately carry out and invoice each external bottler transaction.

Execute daily stock reconciliations for all inventory movements, including primary and secondary distribution, third-party issues and receipts, production issues and receipts.

  • Complete daily write-ups and write-downs, including salvages and breakages, trade replacements, and container destruction.
  • Carry out the daily stock counting procedure
  • Ensure that all stock processes adhere to national SOPs.
  • Maintain assets in accordance with best practices for operations;
  • Ensure timely & accurate system transactions,
  • Manage and keep records in compliance with corporate policy,
  • Timely and appropriate execution of clear daily controls
  • Ensure that all drivers are immediately settled and that the SAP system is accurate in terms of the removal and correction of errors.
  • complete route settlement appropriately and handle corrections to the route settlement as necessary.
  • Keep track of route settlement corrections and make sure an acknowledgement of debt is made up for any pertinent, unjustified driver shortages or missing PODs,
  • Give distribution credit notes or invoices to get customers’ signatures on route settlement and invoicing documents.
  • Ensure that all POD requirements from customers are satisfied, and keep track of any unsigned or missing invoices in a missing invoice record.
  • Respond to and process client inquiries on a daily basis to ensure correct customer accounts,
  • Finish system transactions precisely and on time.

Manage the daily call off of necessary Chep pallets to meet operational needs while maintaining required holding days on Chep; accurately record issues and receipts to and from Chep; execute the Portfolio Plus to SAP reconciliation to ensure the successful resolution of differences and queries; and communicate customer trade balances with the goal of minimizing pallet holding days.Education, Experience, and SkillsKnowledge of: Settlement Processes, Stock Processes, all SOPs, Asset Care, Proof of Delivery requirements, Warehouse Processes and Understanding of Interrelationships Between Processes, Key Performance Indicators Within The Warehouse, Key Performance Indicators Within Distribution That Are Affected By The Warehouse, Extensive Systems Knowledge (SAP), Key Performance Indicators Within The Warehouse, Key Performance Indicators Within Distribution That Are Affected By The Warehouse

Application of knowledge domains; Effective Team Communication; Effective Driver Communication; Effective Distribution Communication; Effective Team Communication with Team Leader;

Education:

• Grade 12 minimum, with math and science as advantages

  • Ideally pursuing a degree in transportation or logistics

  • Computer savvy

  • SAP and Excel skills would be advantageous

  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience in logistics
