Introduction: Granor Passi (Pty) Ltd, a prominent fruit processor based in South Africa with its Head Office located in Polokwane (Limpopo), is in search of qualified Drivers for Granor Passi (Polokwane) to proficiently execute driver and delivery responsibilities.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Efficiently operate vehicles or heavy-duty vehicles and associated attachments to transport materials, assets, or equipment to specified locations.
• Ensure adherence to Granor Passi policies and procedures during loading and offloading, confirming that vehicles are roadworthy, not overloaded, and safe.
• Maintain a well-dressed and neat appearance at all times.
• Actively promote and uphold Granor Passi Corporate Branding in both internal and external environments.
• Work in accordance with safe procedures and personal work area hygiene requirements, utilizing provided Personal Protective Clothing and Equipment (PPE) or coverings.
• Follow workplace instructions regarding fork vehicle maintenance and cleanliness.
• Uphold punctuality and timeliness in deliveries.
• Treat clients and customers with respect and dignity.
• Implement Food Safety Management Systems to systematically identify and minimize food safety risks through proactive measures and controls.
• Verify the cleanliness of the vehicle and ensure the load is properly loaded, secured, and within weight limits using prescribed checklists.
• Obtain authority from the supervisor and ensure all necessary paperwork (invoices, waybills, delivery notes, log sheets, COF, etc.) is in order before departure.
• Have on hand all required fuel, toll, border monies, and necessities.
• Adhere to standard operating procedures, maintain proper follow distances, and adhere to speed limitations.
• Stay alert to surroundings and potential hazards that may affect the safe execution of operations.
• Utilize maintenance checklists and complete required forms regularly.
• Assist and perform duties as an operator (e.g., forklift) if the need arises.

Desired Experience & Qualification:

• Grade 12, Standard 10, or ABET Level 5.
• Permanent South African citizenship.
• Valid heavy-duty driver’s (Code 14) license and PDP with no criminal record.
• Three years of previous driving experience in a food production environment.
• Ability to work under pressure and overtime.
• Capability to work without supervision.
• Proficient in reading and writing.
• No criminal record.
• Good communication, bilingual, and influencing skills.
• Experience with International and Scania trucks is essential.
