In the beginning

The Obligations and Responsibilities

The Goals of the Job:

• To execute all operational activities at the point of sale in a timely and effective manner in order to provide the best possible service to customers.

In order to ensure that high levels of accuracy are maintained when scanning merchandise and collecting money for things that have been purchased, including the processing of clubcard benefits.

• To make certain that the protection of funds is maintained at all times.
• In order to meet the clubcard participation goals, it is necessary to actively market the Clicks’ clubcard and to sign up new members for the clubcard.
• To ensure that customers “feel good and pay less” by making them aware of specials in order to have a favourable impact on sales and to make customer satisfaction a priority.
• To provide exceptionally high-quality customer service by serving as a brand ambassador, maintaining a prominent presence, and providing a service that is both kind and professional.
• To carry out and maintain all merchandising and general housekeeping responsibilities in an effective manner in accordance with the criteria for visual merchandise and physical products.
• To live the business values and to be the driving force behind the Group’s mission to become the health and beauty retailer of choice for the consumer by supporting the Group’s vision.
• In order to deliver accurate information to customers at all times, it is necessary to keep one’s knowledge of products, ranges, promotions, and events up to date.

Background in retail and fast-moving consumer goods, as well as an awareness of merchandising and promotion principles

Experience and qualifications that are desired

Having previous experience:

Experience in a customer-facing role within a retail or fast-moving consumer goods store operations setting is desirable or desirable.

Education entails:

• Required: the twelfth grade

Maths at a grade 12 level and English at a grade 12 level are also desirable.
