In order to provide comprehensive nursing care to people in a manner that is cost effective, efficient, and equitable, the Department of Social Development, which is part of the Western Cape Government, is looking for four (4) individuals who are sufficiently qualified and competent. The Bonnytoun, Horizon, Outeniekwa, and Vredelus Secure Care Centres are the locations where these posts take up residence.

Certain Minimum PrerequisitesA basic R425 qualification, which can be either a diploma or a degree in nursing, or an equivalent certificate that enables registration with the South African Nursing Council as a professional nurse: Grade 1 There is no requirement for prior experience; however, registration as a Professional Nurse with the SANC is mandatory.

Basic R425 certificate (Diploma or Degree in Nursing) or an equivalent qualification that enables registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse requires a grade of 2. In order to become a Professional Nurse, you are need to register with the SANC. The candidate must have a minimum of ten years of experience in nursing that is both relevant and recognised, following registration as a Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing.

This grade requires a basic R425 qualification, which might be a diploma or degree in nursing, or an equivalent qualification that enables one to register with the South African Nursing Council as a professional nurse. In order to become a Professional Nurse, you are need to register with the SANC. Following registration as a Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing, a minimum of twenty years of experience in nursing that may be considered appropriate or recognised is required.Advise or suggestion

Crucial Aspects of PerformanceIt is your responsibility to provide direction and supervision for the completion of the nursing plan, which includes providing residents with quality care and clinical practice. When it comes to nursing quality (quality of practice), it is important to implement standards, norms, criteria, and indicators. The practice of nursing and health care in line with the norms and prescripts that are pertinent to nursing and health care has been established. Ensure that you establish and maintain a productive working relationship with members of the nursing MDT and other stakeholders; Ensure that human, material, and physical resources are utilised in an efficient and effective manner.Competencies and AbilitiesOne’s familiarity with the following: Nursing care processes and procedures; nursing legislation and any other applicable legal frameworks, including but not limited to the Nursing Act, the Health Act, the Occupational Health and Safety Act, the Patient Rights Charter, the Batho Pele Principles, the Public Service Regulations, and the Labour Relations Act; Capabilities in both verbal and written communication; Completion of a computer curriculum.The compensation

Grade 1 fees range from R293 670 to R337 860 per year; Grade 2 fees range from R358 626 to R409 275 per year; and Grade 3 fees range from R431 265 to R543 969 per year (OSD as specified).

This is a note on remuneration: Cost-to-employer (CTE) remuneration packages for some occupation-specific dispensations (OSD) include all costs associated to service benefits or obligations. These costs include basic salary, 13th cheque, medical assistance, housing aid, pension-fund contributions, and other similar expenses. Employees’ service benefits or duties are compensated or co-supported in accordance with the applicable prescripts or collective agreements in situations when remuneration is not designated as CTE.
