OtherJob’s Advertisement Synopsis The Richards Bay Gas Operations Team is looking to add four (4) Traffic Marshalls to their team, and BTT is presently recruiting for these positions. The primary objective of the position is to provide directions that are both clear and succinct, to ensure that cars continue to travel in an organised manner, to lessen the amount of congestion that exists, and to encourage effective traffic flow both within and outside the site.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities that are required include: Strong abilities in the areas of organisation, planning, and time management An excellent driving record that is free of any traffic offences A solid understanding of the rules governing traffic Excellent abilities in both verbal and writing contact with others Excellent focus on the particulars Certain Minimum Prerequisites 12th grade or its equivalent Having a driver’s licence with a code 10 and a PDP is helpful. Experience as a Flagman or Corporate Driver for a minimum of one year or more Commitments and Obligations to Fulfil Be sure to drive the BTT vehicles with caution and safety in order to ensure that the BTT brand is always presented in a positive light.

It is important to keep drivers informed about lane changes, temporary traffic patterns, and alterations through communication. In work zones, traffic speeds should be regulated, and vehicles should be required to conform to the imposed limits. It is important to inspect the walkway for any damage to the infrastructure and to report it.

Daily completion of the Vehicle Log Sheet, including recording of times and miles travelled, is required. At the conclusion of each shift, make certain that all keys and documentation are stored in a secure location. It is your responsibility to ensure that the BTT vehicles are adequately maintained and to manage the washing and cleaning of the cars as needed. Any accidents, incidents, or near misses that occur on the BTT vehicles should be reported.

Make certain that the cars are driven with caution and that they are not misused or abused in any way. Ensure that all BTT vehicles are subjected to weekly inspections and provide a report detailing the results of those inspections. Employees should be transported in a secure manner to and from the site areas and/or to other locations as specifically instructed.

When necessary, collect and deliver consumables and other products to the locations where they are needed. Provide assistance in directing the flow of traffic during times of emergency.
