Main Purpose
• To maximise company productivity and profitability while satisfying customers.
• Create and implement company policy.
• Maintain cash flow, stocks, and assets to meet profit and ROI criteria.
• Sell vehicles, parts, and manpower to enhance company profits. Specific Job Duties 3. Key goals and tasks 3.1 Improved Profitability:
• Ensure all departments meet profit margin goals.
• Ensure company net profit meets budgets.
• Monitor finances daily/weekly to meet goals.
• Review accounts, operating controls, and composite figures to improve or correct.
• Maintain strong bank contact for cash flow, overdraft, and loan facilities.
• To estimate peak sales and cash needs.
• To manage vehicle and parts stock to meet customer demand and sales projections.
• Maintain and expand market penetration to fulfil organisational goals.For firm goals, enhance stock turnover ratios, lower stock holding value, and increase revenues. 3.2 Customer Service and pleasure:
• Maximise earnings while maintaining customer pleasure.
• To increase customer service and retention through better facilities, technical skills, lower ownership costs, and marketing.
• Maintain excellent quality and workmanship.3.3 Cost Control:
• Control expenses to meet budget goals.
• Monthly management account review.
• Maximise cost-effective stock turnover.
• Prepare and submit all customer invoices.
• Check debtors daily/weekly/monthly to collect.
• To assess all training needs and costs to create a good staff training and development programme for job satisfaction and effectiveness.4. Authority limits4.1 Capital Spending:
• Resource-limited4.2 Personnel:
• Final say on hiring and firing.4.3 Operational: Authorised to run the company to satisfy shareholders.5. Job main functions5.1 Staff:
• Discuss labour and staff needs with directors and management.
• To maximise grants by meeting training needs and keeping correct records.
• Run staff performance appraisals and act on outcomes.
• Set and monitor pay and incentive plans.5.2 Administration:
• Ensure legal operation of the Company.
• Review all departmental reports and activities.
• To ensure company incentive programmes follow manufacturer recommendations.
• To install suitable safety and security measures to protect Company people and property.To communicate well with directors and line managers.
• Maintain direct communication with manufacturers, professional bodies, suppliers, statutory representatives, and others.5.4 Marketing:
• Plan, manage, and ensure cost-effective sales campaigns, advertising, and promotions.
• To research consumer satisfaction and improvement needs.5.5 Finance:
• Review company finances regularly.Review price policies, sales discounts, fleet discounts, parts pricing, and labour rates.
• Compare labour performance to standards. Competencies and Experience Minimum 5-year experience in equivalent capacity. Preference: financial qualification or experience. Matrix; equivalent. FICA, FAIS, CPA expertise Personal Qualities and Skills High-level retail motor industry expertise. Modern business processes and controls expertise.
