An apprenticeship program (X40) in South AfricaReference number AO-1630 for the year 2024/07/16 The description At each of our branches in South Africa, AFGRI is providing the opportunity to participate in an exciting apprentice training program. Please submit your application if you are interested in becoming an Artisan. We are looking for individuals that are self-motivated, dynamic, and possess the essential technical ability. Through participation in the Apprenticeship Program, the incumbent is provided with the chance to improve their skills within AFGRI through the guidance of our leaders, informal training, and on-the-job development rotations in teams that include members from a variety of disciplines.

A three-year in-service training experience will be provided as part of this apprenticeship. This will count towards a qualification that is in the field of earthmoving mechanics or tractor mechanics. A probationary period will begin after the first six months. To ensure that the relationship between the company and the employee is one that will last for a long time, this phase is utilised.

During this time period, any party may withdraw without incurring any charges or penalties. The apprentice will next begin his actual training after being bound by an AFGRI contract till the end of the apprenticeship. In this training, you will learn: In order to complete the various phases of the apprenticeship, the apprentice will be required to attend a Practical Training Institute (if necessary).

At the same time, the apprentice will be written in for N subjects that are required at a college, and they will study through distance learning (if any of these topics are required and if they are available). Also, it is anticipated that it will be present at classes on Saturdays. It’s possible that the distance learning will continue wherever it’s needed while at work. Product training will be provided to the apprentice at the John Deere Training Facility in Boksburg and at other suppliers.

Additionally, the apprentice will participate in internal training that will be presented by our own specialists. The apprentice will not be required to pay any training charges if they pass the training that was indicated above; but, if they fail any of the training, they will be required to complete it on their own time and expense. Every single Apprentice is obligated to abide by the terms of the contract. It is a contract with AFGRI that is for three years. In the event that the apprentice decides to withdraw from their apprenticeship during the “work-back period” or during the apprenticeship itself, there will be costs involved.

The fees will be determined accordingly, taking into account both the time and phase of the withdrawal. During the period that it took the apprentice to get qualified, it is assumed that he will work backwards. There is a maximum age limit of four years for the contract to be extended. The contract will be terminated if the apprentice has not been qualified within the next four years. The Apprentice will be responsible for the following duties: Competent in the trade of mechanics and technicians Performing repairs and maintenance on the associated machinery Responsible for maintaining supply levels Service to the customer Typical tasks performed in the workplace In order to finish this application, you will need at least sixty minutes. The prerequisites This application must meet the following requirements at a minimum: A driver’s license that is still valid A Capacity for Communication Administrative Abilities Literacy in computer use Subjects in the N2 category: Numerical study The engineering field Any one of the following, in addition to the Diesel Trade Theory for Science Drawings for Technical Applications in Industrial Electronics Engineering Theory of the Motor Trade In the event that the applicant does not possess the N2 qualification, the Matric Certificate will nevertheless be taken into consideration if the applicant has successfully completed subjects such as: In contrast to literacy, mathematics Mathematics for Technical Purposes (Not Literacy) Physicochemical Science Engineering with a Technical Science Focus The Behavioural Competencies Required for Graphics and Design One who is extremely driven and motivated Attention to detail and a member of the team orientated towards achieving goals Driven by a deadline It is important that you answer the screening questions truthfully and to the best of your knowledge.
