Port Worker
TPT Cape Town CT is the division that is responsible for managing the activities of port workers. WC is the non-permanent department that is being referred to here. The group of employees in question is TPT, Operations Shift 4. You will find yourself in Cape Town. In regard to the Operations Manager, with the HRLYL1 grade, and reporting to req1781 is the reference. The deadline must be met by the 16th of August in the year 2024. Because it is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that Human Resources has received the application before the closing date of the advertisement, it is imperative that the applicant make sure that HR has received the application.
Reasons for Taking This Position The act of providing labour in line with the orders of the supervisor in order to either offer a working environment that is free of hazards and clean, or to enhance the effectiveness of the cargo operation.
The Outputs of Position
• The cleaning of operative equipment (including the windows of ship-to-shore cranes, the cabins of cranes, and other details of a similar nature)
• The inspection of the state of the containers
• The monitoring of the operations of the reefer containers
• The opening and closing of the twist-locks on the rail waggons
• The transportation of the goods in line with the regular operating procedures, including loading, unloading, and slacking
• Positioning and removing dunnage;
• Cleaning of working areas, rail trucks, plant, workshops, offices, sheds, and ablution facilities in accordance with orders;
• Hooking and unhooking;
• Tarping and untarping, as appropriate;
• Tarping and untarping, as necessary. To complete all of the essential documents, such as accident reports, and to determine the right cargo handling equipment and gear, it is necessary to complete all of the relevant paperwork. Qualifications and previous job experience
• Completion of the 12th grade and National Qualifications Framework (2004)
• A minimum of one year of experience that is relevant to the position
• A minimum of two years of experience that is relevant to the position
• A minimum of ten years of experience that is relevant to the position Capabilities and Competencies in Use Completion of the following areas of expertise: arrangement of the terminals, safety measures, and stack placements Requirements for Competencies: The painstaking attention to detail and the immaculate appearance of the individual Statement of Equity (Statement A)
