Become a Trainee Traffic Officer with RTMC – NQF Level 6 Program

The Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC) invites passionate and dedicated individuals to apply for its Trainee Traffic Officer Program (NQF Level 6). This three-year training program equips candidates with essential traffic law enforcement and road safety skills.

What You Need to Know:

✅ Training will take place in Gauteng Province or any other designated training venue.
✅ Accommodation, meals, study material, and a stipend will be provided.
✅ The program includes both classroom and field training.
✅ Successful candidates must sign a three-year contract with RTMC.

Who Can Apply?

To qualify, applicants must meet the following requirements:
✔ Educational Qualification: National Senior Certificate or National Certificate Vocational (Diploma pass – minimum Level 4 / 50-59%). Post-matric qualifications are an advantage.
✔ Driver’s License: Code B (manual transmission).
✔ Clean Record: No criminal record.
✔ Medical Fitness: A prescribed medical form completed by a registered practitioner, confirming the ability to perform strenuous exercise.
✔ Citizenship: South African citizen.
✔ Age Requirement: Under 35 years on the closing date of the advert.

Important Recruitment Assessments:

📌 Fitness Test – Physical fitness assessments will be conducted.
📌 Driving Test – A driving skills evaluation will be part of the selection process.
📌 Background Checks – Qualification verification and criminal record checks will be conducted.
📌 Medical Examination – Candidates will undergo a medical assessment before enrollment.
