Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented General Worker to join our Facilities Team. This position is essential to maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and organization throughout our offices and shared workspaces. If you thrive in a fast-paced media environment and take pride in keeping spaces clean and functional, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Office & Workspace Cleaning
Clean and sanitise offices, boardrooms, and reception areas.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish various floor surfaces.
Dust desks, furniture, and electronic devices.
Clean interior windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
Disinfect frequently touched surfaces (e.g., door handles, light switches).
- Restroom & Kitchen Hygiene
Maintain cleanliness of restrooms and kitchen areas.
Refill soap, paper towels, and other consumables.
Sanitize toilets, sinks, counters, and appliances.
Conduct deep cleaning of fridges, microwaves, and coffee machines weekly.
- Waste Management
Empty trash bins and handle proper waste disposal.
Identify and report waste management or pest control issues.
- Health & Safety Compliance
Use cleaning materials and tools safely.
Wear personal protective gear as needed.
Report any hazards or maintenance issues promptly.
- Inventory & Equipment Care
Monitor cleaning supplies and request restocks.
Maintain equipment in good working order and store it securely.
- Professional Conduct
Adhere to dress code and present a professional appearance.
Respect confidentiality and avoid disruptions during meetings or recordings.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 (or equivalent).
1–2 years of general work or cleaning experience (office/media environment preferred).
Familiarity with commercial cleaning tools and chemicals.
Physically fit and able to lift light equipment.
Strong time management, attention to detail, and work ethic.
Honest, discreet, and self-motivated.
