📝 Role Overview

Montego Pet Nutrition is looking for a reliable and energetic General Worker (Driver’s Assistant) to join our logistics team. If you’re passionate about supporting operations, ensuring accurate deliveries, and maintaining high standards of service, this opportunity is for you.




🔧 Main Duties & Responsibilities

Loading & Off-loading:
Safely load and off-load products to and from suppliers/customers while following company procedures.

Stock Care:
Ensure all stock is handled properly—no damaged items are delivered. Manage and return any faulty or excess stock.

Driver Support:
Assist the driver during deliveries, check and organize delivery documents before each trip.

Vehicle Maintenance:
Keep the delivery vehicle clean and tidy at all times.

Warehouse Assistance:
Help with stacking, picking, and preparing stock for dispatch.

Accurate Deliveries:
Verify and confirm that the correct products are being delivered at every stop.

Health & Safety Awareness:
Identify any hazards and report or implement safety measures as required.

Other Duties:
Perform any additional tasks that contribute to the efficiency and safety of the department.





🎓 Minimum Requirements

Education:
National Senior Certificate (NQF4) or equivalent.

Experience:
Relevant work experience in a similar role is required.

License:
A valid driver’s license and PDP (Professional Driving Permit) will be an advantage.

Product Knowledge:
Familiarity with Montego products is a plus.

Skills:
Strong listening skills, effective verbal and written communication, and attention to detail.
