Job Title: Skip Truck Driver

Location: Germiston, Gauteng

Salary: R7,500 – R10,000 per month

Position Summary

We are looking for a dependable and experienced Skip Truck Driver to join our waste management and recycling team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe transport, delivery, collection, and emptying of skip bins at various residential, commercial, and industrial sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate skip trucks to deliver and collect skip bins safely and efficiently
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any maintenance concerns
• Ensure that all loads are secure and bins are properly handled and positioned
• Communicate with dispatchers and clients to coordinate collections and deliveries
• Adhere to assigned routes and schedules
• Comply with traffic regulations, health and safety standards, and internal policies
• Maintain accurate logs and complete all necessary documentation
• Keep the vehicle and job site clean and organized
• Deliver excellent customer service in all interactions

Minimum Requirements

• Valid South African Code 10 (C) or Code 14 (EC) Driver’s Licence with a valid PDP
• Minimum of 8 years of professional driving experience (preferably in the waste or recycling sector)
• At least 5 years’ experience operating heavy-duty vehicles such as skip trucks
• Familiarity with local roads and delivery routes
• Physically fit and able to secure and handle heavy loads
• Strong understanding of safety, health, and environmental regulations
• Reliable, punctual, and self-driven
• Clean criminal record

• Previous experience in the waste management or recycling industry
• Basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle issues
• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Primarily road-based, servicing clients in and around Germiston
