You will play a vital role in ensuring the respectful and timely transportation of human remains both locally and across borders to neighbouring countries.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport human remains between AVBOB agencies across South Africa and into neighbouring countries.
• Ensure timely and accurate collection and delivery according to planned routes and schedules.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections (including tyres, oil, and general condition) and keep vehicles clean and roadworthy.
• Maintain accurate trip sheets, mileage logs, and fuel consumption records.
• Report accidents, traffic offences, or vehicle issues immediately.
• Apply efficient driving techniques to optimise fuel use.
• Ensure compliance with legal, company, and cross-border road regulations.
• Represent AVBOB with professionalism, respect, and empathy.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric / Grade 12
• Valid Driver’s Licence (with professional experience in long-distance driving)
• Valid Public Driver’s Permit (PDP)
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a long-distance driver
• Previous experience in the funeral services industry (advantageous)
