Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Cashier to join our team. As a Cashier at Cashbuild, you will play a vital role in delivering excellent customer service, maintaining safety standards, adhering to security protocols, and ensuring the smooth operation of the checkout process.
Key Responsibilities
Cashier Documentation & Compliance
- Sign, compile, and file all required cashier-related documentation.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures in handling documentation.
Adherence to Business Readiness Standards
- Follow Ready for Business and Beyond My Control guidelines as per the CB Way.
- Maintain a proactive approach to readiness and customer satisfaction.
Customer Service Excellence
- Provide fast, friendly, and efficient service to all customers during checkout.
- Direct customers to relevant personnel when further assistance is required.
- Adhere to the company’s dress code and maintain a professional appearance at all times.
Safety & Compliance (OHSA)
- Ensure a safe environment for both customers and staff by adhering to Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) standards.
- Report any discrepancies or safety hazards to the Store Manager immediately.
Security & Cash Management
- Ensure system password control at the till point is strictly followed.
- Safeguard cash through secure procedures, including proper safekeeping and transport to the cash office as per Cashbuild’s standards.
Results-Driven Performance
- Meet or exceed set targets while maintaining accuracy and adherence to required standards.
- Deliver best practices and operational excellence in all tasks related to cashier duties.
- Follow through on commitments and ensure tasks are completed on time.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous cashier or customer service experience is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication skills.
