Purpose of the Job
To coordinate and direct maintenance and repair services for a specific production process. The role involves control panel management, complex troubleshooting, and ensuring optimal plant performance.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide accurate and timely feedback to supervisors on work progress.
- Participate in risk assessments to uphold safety and compliance standards.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards and adhere to waste disposal protocols.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Understand business drivers and KPIs to optimize production.
- Apply and maintain safety measures within the working environment.
- Actively participate in shift handovers and toolbox talks.
- Identify personal training and development needs; include them in the PDP with the group leader’s approval.
- Conduct on-the-job coaching and presentations on specific plant equipment.
- Perform IMS inspections to ensure plant sustainability.
- Collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Take a leading role during emergencies to restore plant operations.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional partners to address daily operational issues.
Formal Education
- Occupational Trade Qualification/Certificate
Experience
- Minimum 4 years of relevant operational experience in a chemical or process plant environment.
