MIDVAAL Local Municipality extends an invitation to candidates who are suitably qualified to submit applications for the advertised vacancy.The annual salary range for a Level 11 position in a Grade 8 local authority is between R 173 856,00 and R 188 604,00.The complete offer, which includes all benefits, is as follows: R 303 682,64 p.a.
NEEDS AND DEMANDS
• The tenth grade.
• Added benefit of completing Grade 12.
• A driver’s licence with a valid code B.
• Must be able to demonstrate physical fitness and have experience running a tractor and slasher.
• Grass cutting experience, preferably with a tractor and slasher combination.
• An someone who is self-disciplined and works hard.
• Very good abilities behind the wheel.
• A minimum of one year of relevant work experience gained while employed by a local government entity in the Parks department.
ASSIGNED TASKS
• Driving a tractor in order to do various tasks, such as mowing grass and keeping pavements, open areas, and parks in good condition.
• In charge of doing routine maintenance and safety inspections on the tractor and the slasher.
• Carry out responsibilities in accordance with the work schedule or work programme.
• Placing traffic signs to alert passing vehicles and pedestrians that construction work is currently taking place.
• To put in a full day’s work every other week on a short Friday (Pay Day).
• Performing any and all ad hoc duties pertaining to gardens or parks as and when requested by management.
