General prerequisites
Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in the essential duties of the position; possess proficiency in a minimum of two official languages, with English being a mandatory one
possess a National Certificate (Vocational) or Senior Certificate (Grade 12).

own a driver’s license that is at least currently valid

• Candidates must be able to communicate with others both verbally and in writing; they must also be able to work long hours and under pressure. Additional requirements for the post: possess at least three to four years of driving experience
Possess a driver’s license with the codes EB, C1, C, EC1, and EC, along with a public driver’s permit. Essential Tasks: Make sure the fleet of armoured vehicles is managed, Assure the management of the fleet of operational vehicles
Oversee and plan transportation assistance; Assure the nationwide movement of workers, vehicles, and equipment. As requested by customers, prepare and pack automobiles for transportation
Ensure that cars and equipment are loaded and unloaded
Ensure that vehicles are properly inspected and maintained; Report any car damages or losses
Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures and policies pertaining to the mobilisation of the designated fleet of vehicles. ensuring adherence to National Instructions 2 of 2022, Armoured Vehicles, and 4 of 2011 for State Vehicle
Oversee the fleet of vehicles assigned to mobilisation support, including their registration, certification, and use. Oversee the upkeep of the Mobilisation Support vehicle fleet that has been assigned.
Give the Section Head: Mobilisation Support performance and implementation updates on the Specialised Fleet’s operations so they can be included in the SAPS Annual Report; Verify that the Minimum Information Security Standards (MISS) are being followed.
