✅ Requirements
- Grade 12 / Senior Certificate.
- Computer literacy with strong accuracy skills.
- A nomination or recommendation from a community organisation (not older than 6 months) must be attached.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Public-spirited, with sound knowledge of Batho Pele Principles.
- Assertiveness and ability to work under pressure.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- A valid driver’s licence is an advantage.
- Preference will be given to applicants living in communities near the correctional centres.
🛠 Key Duties
- Visit the assigned correctional centre daily.
- Engage with inmates and correctional services officials regarding complaints and concerns.
- Monitor conditions of incarceration and report findings.
- Document and report on incidents involving deaths, segregation, mechanical restraints, and use of force.
- Assist Judicial Inspectorate for Correctional Services (JICS) officials during inspections and investigations.
- Perform administrative duties including capturing complaints, managing mandatory matters, and compiling detailed reports.
