Position Overview:
An opportunity has arisen for a Picker Packer, based in Kempton Park. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately picking stock, assembling customer orders based on invoices, and preparing orders for dispatch in line with company standards and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items as per customer orders and move them to the designated holding area for inspection.
- Verify correct seed reference numbers; report discrepancies to the Stock Controller.
- Notify the Stock Controller of any stock shortages and await further instructions.
- Ensure all items picked meet packaging, labelling, and quality standards, and are in a clean, saleable condition.
- Follow the FIFO (First-In, First-Out) stock rotation procedure as directed.
- After orders are checked, pack them in cartons, label/mark them appropriately, and include or attach all required documentation.
- Participate in scheduled and ad hoc stock counts as instructed.
- Support colleagues with tasks when your own responsibilities are completed.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working area at all times.
- Comply with all security protocols to safeguard company assets and inventory.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric) – Required
- Warehouse Certificate or Diploma – Advantageous
- Experience: General worker experience in a warehousing or logistics environment – Essential
